About Chef Joshua Hoffenberg
Raised in the San Fernando Valley, Chef Joshua was born into a family of restauranteurs that started back in Chicago in the early 1930s. His family later settled in Los Angeles and started Flooky’s Hot Dogs which grew to a chain of 14 locations across the valley by the time Joshua was born. He grew up working in those kitchens after school, making dogs, fries, and any kitchen work he could to help out his family and simultaneously grow his love of food and the rhythm of the kitchen. He attended SFSU and U of Oregon before graduating from culinary school in Las Vegas. Since then he has worked as an Executive Sous Chef for USC and UCLA, has refined his fine dining experience and French cooking skills a the Andaz hotel, and most recently the Executive Chef at Loyola Marymount University. During his career, he has had the privilege to train under world-renowned chefs such as Michelin-rated Chefs Sebastian Archambault, Alice Waters, and Nancy Silverton.
He is humbled and thrilled to be your Chef de Cuisine at the Walt Disney Studios. When he is not overseeing the food program on one of the Disney campuses, you will find him traveling and adventure-seeking with his family.
