This April, we invite guests to fully embrace the spirit of spring at The Mercantile’s “Spring Brunch Picnic.” Enjoy a collection of light bites, picnic boxes, salads, desserts and drinks that celebrate the first blooms and vibrant flavors of an early spring open-air picnic.
Join us in the Buena Vista Café lobby from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. from Monday, April 6 to Thursday, April 30.
MENU:
Light bites
• Trio of deviled eggs – candied bacon, capers and lox, green goddess
• Hummus sampler with crisp vegetable crudités – sesame, carrot, snap pea
Picnic box lunches
Includes fresh fruit and house-made rosemary potato chips
• Egg salad sandwich on soft milk bread
• Vegetable pinwheels – flour tortilla, red cabbage, spinach, sweet peppers, grilled asparagus, herbed ranch
• Chicken salad croissant sliders – bibb lettuce
Salads
• Strawberry fields with walnuts – spinach, kale, arugula, carrot, strawberry, candied walnuts, cucumber, feta, crispy wontons, honey champagne vinaigrette
• Lemon and asparagus chicken salad – spring mix, grilled herbed chicken breast, snap peas, shaved asparagus, fresh lemon zest, cotija cheese, lemon-Dijon vinaigrette
Drinks
• Fresh squeezed lemonade – choice of classic, strawberry or mint
Desserts
• Key lime pie – house-made graham crust, Italian meringue
• Almond Basque cake – fresh berries, toasted almonds, powdered sugar
